One of my former colleagues retires tomorrow after 40 years of teaching. It's nice to be at school this week to take part in the final events. She and her husband have bought a camper van, and are off to France and Spain next week.
We had a school assembly for her today, with lots of surprises. Her husband was there to share in it too.
We have a Nurture Base in our school which was begun by this teacher. For the last week or so, a film company have been back in making a follow up TV programme about the successes of this Educational idea.
My wife and I are off on Sunday to the Border Country for 3 days. Hope the weathe
r we have now continues.
