Last Night in America

All too quickly my week here in the United States of America is over.

This afternoon, I left Pennsylvania and entered Maryland. Tonight I am at my hotel near Baltimore Washington Airport.

I am happy to be going home. I miss my dear wife and my children....and home.

It has been a wonderful week. I wish I had more time. There is so much to see even in these 2 States alone.

I have met a large number of kind folk.

At the TFP Conference, people from North and South America.

The people at St Joseph's Parish in York who made me welcome and willingly offered prayers for a special intention.

The staff and boys....young men is more appropriate...at St Louis marie de Montfort Academy.

Hotel staff, restaurant staff, and the Ranger I met today, Mr Moriarity, when I made a quick detour to Gettysburg.

The TFP Conference definitely challenged me, and all who were there.

My visits to Gettysburg I will not forget. That so many died in those fields where I stood, almost 150 years ago. It is place where you dwell on the futility and waste of War, and marvel at the courage of Mankind.

And the snow...wow. A record setting event for America. Even today, 4 days on, snow is still to be seen on the ground, in trees, on roofs.

Tomorrow will be a long day. I fly out from here at 11am, then at 7.35 pm, I depart Newark Liberty Airport, and am due back at Glasgow at 7am on Friday.

God willing, I will be back in my own home by 8am.

Au Revoir America! I want to come back. Over the next weeks I will re- live my week, re -visit in my mind all the places I saw, remember all the kind folk I met.

I have visited 2 States, Pennsylvania and Maryland. How many does that leave?
