The Callender Witch Autumn Colours Part 2

Yesterday we went to Calendar and then on the way home stopped briefly at the Port of Menteith, where you find the only Lake in Scotland, the Lake of Menteith.
We also caught a brief glimpse of the Calendar Witch, an elusive character indeed.

The Lake used to freeze over in winter and you could walk to the ruined monastery on the island. Also they played curling on the lake.
Many years since it has frozen hard enough for that

    I finally got around to visiting your blog...very interesting pictures! Very old subject matter, I see.
