I watched with great sadness as yet another country and town and innocent victims are murdered cruelly in the name of goodness knows!
No where are we safe any longer. There is no security guaranteed anywhere in the world today.
We are descending into chaos and lawlessness, because there are so many factions hell bent on the destruction of civilised free society. Everywhere they spread terror.
These horrible attacks are carried out in the name of freedom, or in the pursuit of world domination.
But should we be surprised?
Over the last 100 years as "Society" has made staggering progress in so many fields. In Medicine, Science, Technology and so on.
But at the same time, much of what was once regarded as special, sacred, the basis of our Society, has been slowly but relentlessly destroyed.
"Anything goes" is the battlecry. The family has been attacked. Marriage has been attacked. The unborn and the elderly are under attack through abortion and euthanasia. Christian Order is to be despised. There is no God, it is all an illusion to keep us under control.
By God , we need something today to keep us in control. The more freedom that is demanded, the worse things become.
I used to ask the children I taught to imagine a school without rules. Some thought this a great idea, until they realised that in the end it would be the bullies and the ruthless who would gain all the power and control. And then imagine what that school would be like. It is Law and Order that brings us safety and freedom. Throw these away, throw God away and there will be chaos and anarchy. It will be survival of the fittest.
How long before the World realises that the road we are being taken down leads to Hell.
Now is the time to turn to God and pray earnestly for His help and guidance, and that we elect Governments that will rule in accordance with the Will of God for the benefit of all Mankind.

Thunder
It is Sunday afternoon and we have thunder. Thunderstorms are fairly rare in this part of the world. But this summer we have had our usual mix of weather.
There has been lots of rain and not much sunshine in Scotland. The reverse has been the case in England.
Over the last few days however we have had a few days of very warm weather with some rain. Yesterday in Perth they has flash floods following an hour of torrential rain.
This morning started sunny, but now it is raining and there is thunder, and it is very close
We would not mind a really good thunderstorm. Just once.

The Red Arrows
On Tuesday we drove down to Helensburgh to watch the RAF's Red Arrows.
They were advertised as giving a Fly Past to mark the closing of the Tall Ships' visit to Greenock, just across the Clyde from Helensburgh.
A number of sailing ships from around the world spent 3 days in Greenock before heading to the Orkneys for the next stage of their journey.
Hundreds of thousands of folk came out to see the ships over the 3 days and traffic in the aera was horrendous.
I decided we would get a reasonable view of the flighpast from the other side of the Clyde. We arrived about 10.30 am and managed to get a good parking spot. By 11am the car park was full.
Just after 11.30am, the Red Arrows appeared in the sky, coming over the hills towards Greenock.
We were then all treated to a flying display that lasted nearly 30 minutes. The 8 aircraft carried out a number of manoeuvres that had the crowds on both sides of the water spellbound.
It was a tribute to the flying skills of the pilots and to the aircraft.
Unfortunately, the light was not the best, and my photos are not as good as I would have liked.
nevertheless, it was an event to remember.
