Elgin Cathedral.

We had reason to be in Elgin so I took the opportunity to visit Elgin Cathedral.
This is a wonderful ruin and well worth a visit.
It must have been very impressive before its demise, another piece of architecture destroyed in revenge.

Falkirk Day

On Saturday my wife was attending the annual event organised by Falkirk Writers.
Having dropped her off at the hotel, I made the best use of the day.
I drove to Linlithgow, then to Blackness Castle, to the Bo'ness Steam Railway, and finally to The House of the Binns.

The weather held for me and here are some of the photos from the day.
All of these places are close to each other and so not much driving had to be done.
