The Legend of Van Gogh and Kirkcudbright

During our short visit to Kirkcudbright, we went looking for a cup of coffee. We chose the Harbour Cafe.
We went in. The place was very quiet. We sat down. Then as we looked around, we realised that every painting on the walls was by Vincent Van Gogh! THE Vincent Van Gogh!
Well, it fair took my breath away!

By sheer chance we had chosen this cafe. And by chance we had come across the little known legend of Van Gogh and his time in this little quiet spot of Bonnie Scotland.

On the table, besdies the menu, was an informative leaflet explaining the whole story. I read it breathless, sipping my coffee. What I was reading made this the best cup of coffee I had tasted in a long time.
What I read had me choking on my coffee, and I damned nearly fell off my seat!

So, with the permission of the cafe owner, I took a photo of the legend, and I attach it here dear reader.

Peruse it at your leisure. And the next time you wish to impress company at a pretentious Posh Do, interject with the legend of Vincent Van Gogh and his time in Kirkcudbright.
I certainly inten do just that!
